Aussie style meat pie







Filling 

500-600 g ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp beef bouillon

3 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce

3 Tbsp ketchup 

1/2 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp nutmeg

1/2 Tbsp BBQ sauce

Brown beef, drain, and set aside. Saute onion in same pan til soft. Add garlic and cooked beef and cook until garlic is fragrant. Add 2 cups of water and seasonings. Simmer 30-45 minutes, adding water if it gets dry. Mix 1 Tbsp cornstarch with 2 Tbsp water and add into meat mixture to thicken. Add water or simmer off the liquid to get a moist but not soupy consistency.

Cool completely in fridge. 

Assemble with pie crust on bottom and puff pastry on top. Bake at 425F for 35-45 minutes until browned and warm inside.
